UPSC Final Result of IAS (Civil Services) Examination 2011, Announced today at 4 May 2012

UPSC Civil Services IAS ( Main) Examination, 2011 Result

The results of the written part of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2011, held by the Union Public Service Commission in October-November, 2011 and the interviews for Personality Test held in March-April, 2012 were declared by the UPSC on 4 May 2012.

The list includes in order of merit the roll no and name of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to –

  1.  Indian Administrative Service;
  2.  Indian Foreign Service;
  3.  Indian Police Service; and
  4.  Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

A total number of 910 candidates were recommended for appointment including 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate) and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.

Appointment to the various Services are to be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in Rules 2 and 19 of the Rules of the Examination and subject to the final decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court / Hon’ble High Courts / Hon’ble C.A.Ts. on the S.L.Ps / R.As / W.Ps. / O.As. pending therein.

UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments on the working days between 1000 hours to 1700 hours in person or over telephone Nos.23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543
